WorkingSBM

School Business Management isn’t something that you can do on your own. We all need support, information, networking and friendship. This blog site has evolved into something that I want to share and extend to other School Business Managers around the world.
We are all WorkingSBM.
I’ve been a School Business Manager in the Secondary sector for 17 years and love my job but about three years ago my well-being took a knock and I felt alone. It wasn’t the first time, but it hit me hard and I needed to do something about it. I started writing about my experience in a blog.
Suddenly I wasn’t alone.
Since then, I have made so many new friends and new doors of opportunity have opened up. I am a regular poster on #SBLTwitter, I have written for national and international publications, I have presented workshops, I have become an ISBL Fellow, I have become accredited as a School Resource Management Adviser (SRMA) and I am keen to support the SBM whenever I can with this website and Ask Anna.
Anything is possible in this profession, if you’ve got the resilience, the willingness to keep learning and the support you need.
I don’t pretend to know it all but if you’ve got a problem or a question…if your well-being is at rock bottom…if you would just like to know more about being an SBM or an SRMA…if you would like to write a guest blog…please get in touch.
If I can’t help, I bet I know someone who can.
